Synopsis[]

Mio is due for his shot but has no desire to cooperate. Garu and Abyo now have the task of catching a well-trained ninja cat.

Plot[]

Garu and Mio are training together, both showing great skill in defeating dummy ninjas and cats, when Abyo arrives. He compliments them both but also reminds Garu Mio has an "appointment" today, though his subtly hints don't get through. Exasperated, he finally says it outright: Mio has to get his annual shots, showing the cat carrier they must get him into. This news freaks out the ninja can who takes off running, avoiding the boys' attempts to catch him. For all their efforts, Garu gets stuck in a cage and Abyo is attacked by a surprisingly vicious bunny. The two are found by Pucca and Ching who ditch their golf game to help with the cat wrangling.

Abyo's plan (after "thinking like a cat") is using canned sardines to lure Mio, then snag him with a fishing line. Though the feline is interested in the fish, he sees through the trap and when Abyo thinks he's caught his prey, the he finds the cat has substituted a lion statue which flattens him. Ching declares she has an idea to try.

Garu and Abyo have been dressed up like pigeons while on a tree branch above them, the girls hold a suspended cage to catch Mio should the cat come to chase them. The boys find the disguises humiliating but Ching and Pucca are enjoying the situation, throwing don birdseed and telling them to act the part. Abyo goes with it but as he complains it isn't working, they are nearly hit by Santa's arrow, the jolly man being fooled by their disguises and wishing to cook them. Pucca comes to the rescue, notching Santa into his own bow and sending him flying away into the nearby lake. The girls check that the boys are alright but when Abyo questions who now holds the trap, the look up to see that Mio holds the cage rope which he promptly drops on all four of them. The kids can only watch as the tricky ninja cat walks by them, holding the previous can of sardines and smug in his victory.

This time, Garu offers his own plan to play off Mio's loyal ninja cat personality by setting up a fake emergency. Abyo disguises himself as Tobe with the girls as his ninja minions, pretending to threaten Garu. Mio immediately comes to his master's defense but realizes the trick just as the kids try to catch him, leading to a race through town. Along the way, they accidently stampede the real Tobe, who is confused that "he" just ran himself over. The ninja cat is surrounded but reveals his own illusion abilities (like Garu's) to create three copies of himself. The cats scatter an the kids each follow after one.

Abyo chases one cat into the Goh-Rong, bumping into Dada and making him drop his dishes, only to realize the cat was a fake. Ching chases another into the town center but it too disappears which causes her to fall into a fountain. Garu tracks a third cat through the forest until it vanishes and he sees the real Mio behind him, turning to follow his new target. Mio evades his master right up to a cliff where Garu, going on too much momentum, runs right over the edge. Mio comes to his aid for real this time, catching onto the ninja's suit (and mooning the audience) to pull them both back up. Safe on solid ground, Garu and Mio bow to one another in respect for this rescue though also in the understanding their battle is not yet over. Mio is given a head start to make another run for it but never sees Pucca who placed the cat carrier in his path. The ninja feline runs right in and the noodle girl closes the door on him. They've caught him at last.

In the Veterinarian clinic, the kids wait patiently during Mio's check up, Pucca taking the chance to cuddle up with Garu while Yani is also present in the room. Doctor Santa finally brings Mio out to them, all finished with his shots, and the ninja cat happily goes to sit with Yani. The cats share affections while Abyo mocks Mio for being scared of shots. This statement reminds Santa that Abyo is also due for his shots which terrifies the Kung Fu artist. He takes off running, plowing right through a wall, and prompting Pucca, Garu, and Ching to chase after him. Mio is more interested in snuggling with Yani.
