Sooga Super Squad

Sooga Super Squad is the third segment of the twelfth episode of the second season and the thirty-eighth overall episode of the television show Pucca. It first aired on August 4, 2008.

Synopsis[]

When Master Mel is accidentally released, he enacts revenge on his brother Soo and plans to take over Sooga. To stop him, Soo summons Pucca, Garu, Ching, and Abyo to be the Sooga Super Squad.

Plot[]

The episode starts with Santa relaxing in his house. He then complains that the ambiance is too hot and turns his fan to high speed. This causes his furniture and decorations to be blown back, while revealing an old wrapped-up box under his chair. Santa opens it, releasing Mel, who was trapped inside that box. Mel thanks Santa for freeing him and exits while Santa sheepishly walks away, saying that he didn't do anything. Outside, Mel decides to pay his brother, Soo, a visit and get revenge.

At his palace, Soo is surprised to see Mel again after ten thousand years. Back then, Soo and Mel were playing hide and seek, the former counting and the latter hiding in a box. As soon as Soo reached 'five', he immediately got bored and left, leaving Mel trapped inside his hiding place, which Santa wrapped up into a Christmas present. Now angry, Mel rants at Soo for not finding him and traps him inside a painting. He even turns Soo's maidens into his personal minions (Mel's belles) and then tells them to wreak havoc on Sooga Village. Fearful for what his brother is doing, Soo sends a distress call ('Fwoosh!') in hopes that someone might come to help him to stop Mel. Fortunately, Ching, Won, Garu, Pucca, and Abyo hear his call and head to his palace. After the kids free him from his colorful prison, Soo turns them into the Sooga Super Squad.

In Sooga Village, Mel's belles use their scooters to bring destruction around town while Mel watches it all go down with sadism in his smile. At the same time, Doga is instantly smitten by Mel, saying that he is 'not just deliciously diabolical, but also cute as a newt', which Mel notices. At the village's main street, the Sooga Super Squad confront Mel's belles, who use their scooters to conjure up a twister that literally sweeps Sooga Super Squad off their feet. Not deterred by this, they still continue to fight, with Pucca using her hearts to restore these two corrupted women into their normal, good-hearted selves. Mel arrives and tells them that the battle isn't over. He traps them and all of Sooga Village inside a snow globe, and plans to send them all into a vortex of darkness. With Soo's help, the Sooga Super Squad were sent out of the snow globe to confront Mel again, with Ching telling him to stop his plan once and for all, but Mel refuses to relent and summons a one-eyed, one-armed flying Siamese Sooga Eater from underground to distract them as he carries on with his plan. The Sooga Super Squad fight the Sooga Eater but were too weak, even as a team. As Mel summons the vortex of darkness, Abyo tells his friends that they need some speed and they summon their Super Sooga Scooters to fight Sooga Eater. When this is ineffective, they resort to another plan: combine their scooters into a battleship. With that, they successfully defeat the Sooga Eater by turning it into a peaceful, loving monster.

However, they still have to save Sooga Village and stop Mel. Just then, Pucca notices Doga cheering for her idol and brings her out. The Sooga Super Squad puts her in a pod and hurls her towards Mel. As soon as they see each other, the two share a passionate kiss and fall in love.

In the end, Sooga Village is saved, Pucca, Garu, Abyo, and Ching are hailed as heroes, and Mel and Doga are in a relationship but are now trapped in the snow globe Sooga Village is freed from. The segment ends with Soo commenting that Mel has 'found love... evil love, that is' and throwing the snow globe off a cliff.
