Clone Garu is one of Garu’s clones that made his first appearance in the episode Romancing the Clone.
Biography[]
He was first created when Garu learned his new Garusion Illusion ability and created several clones of himself to use against Tobe. However, when Tobe sprayed one of his clones with his dishonor spray by accident, the clone became his own person. He acts nothing like Garu; talking (normal Garu took a vow of silence) in an obnoxious manner and acting like a bad boy and player. This is most evident when he flirts with Pucca when she delivered his noodles.
Pucca seemed to like him back, especially since he, unlike the real Garu, actually showed affection for her. Garu seems to hate his clone and continuously tries to retract him back in his body. But, since he was hit with the dishonor spray, it had no effect on him.
Later on, Garu's clone asks Pucca out to the Goh-Rong Restaurant, which she accepts. The date doesn't go well since Clone Garu eats very sloppily (including spitting out the food onto the floor and insulting it) and asks Pucca to pay for the whole meal. Garu comes in to defeat his clone, but is unable to since he knows all of Garu's moves. Santa comes up with an idea to settle the fight and relationship with Pucca via a dating game show.
When Santa asks the real Garu about what a "perfect romantic date" with Pucca would be like, he doesn't say anything. This makes everyone in the room uncomfortable. Santa then moves on to ask Garu's clone the same question. He describes taking her out on a picnic by the lake, including watching the sunset, kissing, and eating noodles all night. The audience aahs in amazement while Pucca giggles affectionately.
Santa announces Garu's clone to be the winner and Pucca runs over and starts kissing him, with Garu angrily stomping away. While they are kissing, he sees Ching walking to her seat. Interested, he immediately drops Pucca and runs over to flirt with her, much to Ching's displeasure. Pucca is shocked.
The clone says that they weren't in a committed relationship, angering Pucca to the point where she beats him up. Before the real Garu left, his clone was thrown onto the wall next to Garu. He looked back and smiled at Pucca.
Garu's clone then taunted Pucca by asking her if "that's the best [she] could do, little girl". Pucca became fully enraged and started beating him up again, with the real Garu joining in to help Pucca beat him up. Expressing his confusion for women overall, he finally decided to retract back into Garu's body.
